Armenian Community of Rostov-on-Don

"The Armenian community of New-Nakhijevan-on-Don" was founded in 1988 and is considered one of the largest in the Russian Federation. It has a significant part in the preservation of the ethnic and cultural identity of the Armenians who live along The Don, the teaching of the Armenian language as well as the development of the cultural, spiritual and social links with Armenia.

The activities of the Community are also aimed at the promotion of friendly ties and mutual understanding between Armenians and Russians, through the consolidation of Armenians, especially the youth. There have been numerous political, cultural, sport and other exchanges between Armenia and Rostov-on-Don in the past several years.

"The Armenian community of New-Nakhijevan-on-Don" sponsors various events, which help consolidate the ties with the historic motherland and the promotion of the Armenian culture.
